Often is the question asked to artist "Why do we do the thing we do?"..or basically .."why do you create?"..the answer is simple..I'm human ..it 's my nature to create.If you you even break it down to the basic of what most people believe in religion..that GOD.. created man in his own image..so like your parents that instilled that ideal of what is "right and wrong " within you ..so is that divine feeling to "create " because we must.But as artists the desires are over consuming.We as artist create because we have something to say,show,inform,comment,record,express within the world and time we live in .. outside the regular or mainstream historic means. I guess why i create is because .. I'm human.. i got something to say/show..and I want you to know it!!!!!!!

Very positive event! it was a great way to bring artist and spectators together. Glad that you voted on the content... hope you felt like your were there the video was nice to play with.

Great job on the event, George and crew! That's what I like to see. Designers and artists making shtuff happen. Man, voting wasn't easy but I made my choice based on content, composition, line work, and execution. Won't tell who I voted for. You'll just have to wait until the polls close :)

I really enjoyed watching these two very talented artists at their best, creating and bringing their art to life. There is still so much talent out there that needs to be recognized and through these battles many will have the opportunity to share and show their talents to the world! with this I ask, when is the next one?

Hey Lenora, I do wish that is was gear more to the design community and bloggers, not just newbies! I would have been nice to have a deeper dialogue... even something of a meet and greet!

I went to Fresh Dialogue, too, but I felt like I didn't get as much discussion as I had hoped for, it seemed more focused on introducing the bloggers to people who weren't familiar with their sites. It was interesting insight, but as someone who is already very familiar with design and blogging, I was hoping for more thoughtful discussion between the bloggers and better questions from the audience.

Very cool of Tina to comment, though!

People never like a unhappy designer. But as a designers we ALL can find projects that bring us joy. Just Like mike said.. happy in the Long term!
